Who is Turok?

This is the Turok game that really caught my attention when I played it as a kid. It had me at having dinosaurs but the gameplay was action-packed and it was a very enjoyable game. I’m pretty certain it was this one where you could ride some kind of giant Pterosaur but I can’t remember the specifics.
